Trim Levels
The Renegade is available in eight trims: the Sport, Latitude, Upland, Altitude, North Edition, Limited, Trailhawk, and High Altitude. Each one has a modern exterior that's sure to turn heads. From the distinct Jeep grille and badging to the available My Sky power removable sunroof, the Renegade is designed for those who want a stylish SUV that can take them from the city streets to rugged off-road trails. You'll find 16-inch steel wheels on the lower trims and 19-inch polished aluminum wheels on the Latitude and Limited trims.
Engine
Two engine choices power the Renegade. The lower trims come with a 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine that produces 180 horsepower and 175 pound-feet of torque. Standard on the Limited and Trailhawk and optional on the other trims is a turbocharged 1.3-liter four-cylinder engine with an output of 177 horsepower and 210 pound-feet of torque. A nine-speed automatic transmission pairs with both.
Performance
Take your off-road-ready Trailhawk straight from the showroom to the trails. The standard four-wheel-drive system and Jeep Active Drive Low system give you a 21:1 crawl ratio that's perfect for slowly driving over rocks, boulders, and obstacles. On the other trims, Jeep's Active Drive four-wheel-drive system lets you adjust driving modes with a turn of a knob. When descending a steep hill, the hill descent control lets you safely travel down the trail with minimal brake pressure. The other trims come standard with rear-wheel drive or optional four-wheel drive.
Interior
Whether you want easy-to-clean cloth seats or luxurious leather-trimmed ones, you'll find just what you want in the Renegade. Two rows of seats can fit five people comfortably with an overall passenger volume of 100 cubic feet. Use the various seat configurations to get 50.8 cubic feet of cargo space.
The Uconnect infotainment system features a 7-inch touch screen and has Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration. You can even access your Renegade from the comfort of your home using Amazon Alexa with the Uconnect app. When you add the available 8.4 NAV Group package, you get an 8.4-inch touch screen, voice-activated navigation, and HD radio. Adding the optional Cold Weather Group package gives you heated front seats, a heated leather-wrapped steering wheel, and a windshield wiper de-icer.
Safety Features
Jeep prides itself on its vehicles' many safety and driver-assist features. Adaptive cruise control helps you keep a safe distance from other cars, the blind-spot monitoring system with cross rear-traffic alert warns you if a car is coming up your blind side, and the forward-collision warning with active braking detects when a collision is imminent and will apply brake force if needed. It's easy to stay in your own lane with the lane-keep assist and lane-departure warning.
